Man Accused Of Murdering Girlfriend During Domestic Incident In Maryland Apartment: Police

A domestic dispute inside a Maryland apartment turned deadly when a 43-year-old man killed his girlfriend, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

Keith Maybin, Jr. was arrested by Seat Pleasant Police officers on Thursday night after threatening two people with a gun, hours after he allegedly murdered his girlfriend Courtney Blacksher inside of an area apartment.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, officers were called to the 200 block of Harry S Truman Drive to investigate a reported shooting, according to a Prince George's County Police Department spokesperson.

Upon arrival at the Upper Marlboro residence, they found Blacksher, 43, suffering from gunshot wounds and she was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Hours later, at around 7:10 p.m., police say that Maybin was arrested in the 8600 block of Central Avenue after brandishing a gun and threatening two people.

No injuries were reported in the second incident..

Maybin was arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder, assault, and other offenses. He is being held by the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
